Items purchased in our Restore comes from community donations and helps build homes for our Partner Families. The ReStore is located at 1400 Vincent Massey Drive. It is open 7 days a week. Since we are a non-profit, there is never any tax at the ReStore. And for donated items, we are able to offer a tax receipt.
Donations to the ReStore are accepted during regular hours of operation. You can also call the ReStore to arrange for pick ups or to learn more about our ReMove Project - a fee based service, offering estate and home clear out assistance.
Habitat homes are not given away. Partner Families purchase the home at fair market value with no down payment and an interest-free, income geared mortgage. They are also required to dedicate 500 hours of volunteer time with the organization. All mortgage payments are directed to a specific fund designated to build more local, affordable homes.
